Abedian School of Architecture

Location: Australia
Type: Education
Client: Bond University
Design: Sir Peter Cook - CRAB
Area: 2500 m2
Phase: RIBA 1-7

The project is a learning environment with a range of interconnected interior spaces. Features like timber plinths, 'scoops' that circle meeting areas, window shades, timber columns, and furniture create a unique atmosphere. It celebrates the heterogeneous over the homogeneous, occupation over object, and the particular over the general. A place to dally and people-watch, its subtle humour, deep eaves, and relaxed symmetry create a memorable experience.
